Things That Grow

This is my 2nd year planting a garden and such.  I thought I'd actually take pictures this time.  We have strawberries in my super cool Topsy Turvy.  LOL!  We've got some berries growing!

Here we have dill, for the yummy pickles and green beans that Steph and I can.

Next up, Chives

Cilantro

Super small basil

The other 3 buckets haven't sprouted so I think I need to replant them.

This is the west half of the garden, most of it is planted.  I still need to plant tomatoes and peppers.  But, here will be 4 rows of corn, zucchini, and cucumbers.

This is the east half of the garden.  From right to left we have 2 rows of peas, a row of lettuce mix, a row of spinach, 1/2 row of broccoli, and 1 1/2 rows of carrots.  Along the fence that cannot be seen there are green beans.

My pretty Mother's Day mums.

And finally, the only blooms on the lilac bush

Sloane's Birthday Take 2

Sloane's First Birthday Party

Last Saturday we had a huge bash for Sloane, She has been with us for 1 whole year.  It is hard to believe that she is such a big girl.  Sloane has been walking since about 101/2 months.  She says mama, dada, T, Nala, wawa, baba, ha ma (hold me), papa, didi (Gigi).  She's got a smile that'll melt your heart.  She is a special little girl.  We couldn't be more proud or love her more!

The "Smash Cake"

The cake for the rest of us, super yummy stuff there.

Playing with new toys.  Everyone was so generous and kind!

The balloon was wrapped around her and she was walking around the house like that, it was very cute.

The Girls' Room

It's a work in progress still, but for the most part it's livable. This is the back bedroom that used to have a swamp cooler, no swamp cooler anymore...The girls love it, it is another place for them to run around and make a mess.

Day at the Downtown Aquarium

Happy Saturday. Today Todd and I decided to take the girls to the Aquarium. It was a hit. Both girls had a great time and there were no meltdowns until lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Almost 1...*sigh*

Well, I went ahead and ordered the invitations for Sloane's Birthday.  It is hard to believe that next month she will be a year old!  What a year it has been!

Sloane can light up a room with her smile.  She not only smiles with her mouth, she smiles with her entire face.  She wants to do and go all the time.  She has been a full time walker for about 2 weeks now, and is showing no signs of slowing down!  Not to mention, she has turned into quite a climber.  She will climb on anything and everything!  Sloane is also, quite the "mama's girl".  If I am around, no one else will do.  So, I cuddle and hold my baby, who knows how long I'll be her favorite; I'll take it.

Long Time

Well, I am finally getting around to updating "Our Lives".  We finally have a working computer at home.  Hooray.

Well Todd and I are doing well.  Nothing too new to report here.

Teagan is growing up so quickly, I wonder where the time has gone.  She speaks pretty well, she sleeps in her own bed most of the time, and is working on going potty in the "big girl" potty more often.  Todd and I are taking her to a Preschool open house next month, she'll be able to go to a Playgroup 2 times a week this fall.  I think it'll be a really good thing for her.  She needs to be around kids more often.

Sloane is officially a toddler.  She has been walking (really walking not just taking steps here and there) for a week now.  She's so cute to watch.  Sloane can also imitate a lot of sounds.  She says dada, mama, nala, and she tries to say a bunch of other words too.  She'll be 1 soon, and again, I think, where has the time gone?

That is really all for us right now.  We keep busy with work and the girls, and we have fun doing it.
